Install Changes to On The QT-Required Tip & Tricks for OB1QT04OBS-RHT Phone Booth

Beginning in March 2023, Orangebox introduced a new localized version of On the QT. Up to this point OB had been importing On the QT from the UK for distribution throughout the US. While using the import module for distribution, OB highlighted with dealers some tips and tricks to help the QT install go more smoothly. These tips and tricks are identified in the attachment to article.

• Orangebox is selling through inventory of the RHT Angled Phone Booth, UK version.  The model number for these units is OB1QT04OBS.  The article of tips and tricks apply to these units. 
• A separate updated hardware pack ships with these units.  The new hardware pack should be used.  The new hardware for the door handle has Lock-Tite applied to the threads. 
• It is important to torque the door handle bolts to 2nm.  This is critical to protect the glass from breaking. 
• Once the door is installed, test for proper function.  The door should not drag on the bottom or top. Use shims(included in hardware pack) behind the door hing(s) to adjust for proper function.
• These units come with an upper and lower door strap to keep the door from opening too far.  If a OB1QT04OBS is ordered with a lounge unit, do not install the lower strap. The lower strap contacts the lounge and prevents the door from closing properly. If the booth does not have a lounge, install both straps.

During the localization process, our engineering team made changes to the design to eliminate the need to apply the tips and tricks. No longer will any holes need to be drilled out and tapped, the door flipper seal now comes preinstalled and not shipped on the crate in addition to the other items identified in the attached file.
