This article provides instructions for connecting service hoops together on Air27 and Air29 pods so that lighting and fan functions operate simultaneously from a single user control panel.
Purpose of Hoop‑to‑Hoop Connection
Interconnecting service hoops allows:
- Lights to operate together across connected hoops
- Fans to operate at the same time
- A single user panel to control multiple service hoops
Required Components
- RJ45 communications cable – 3.5 m
A standard 3.5 m RJ45 comms cable is used to link the service hoops.
Hoop‑to‑Hoop Connection Instructions
Step 1 – Interconnect Service Hoops
- Locate the data ports inside each service hoop
- Connect the hoops together using a 3.5 m RJ45 cable
Once connected, all lights and fans will operate together from one user panel.
Step 2 – Connect Service Hoop to Building Data
- Plug data cables into the building supply (floor or wall connection)
- Feed data cables through the hoop grommet
- Connect cables to the sockets located inside the service hoop cover
Ensure all cables are fully seated and routed cleanly through grommets to avoid pinching or damage.
Critical Notes
- Use only approved RJ45 cables of appropriate length
- Confirm all connections before powering the system
- Ensure cables are routed through grommets to prevent damage
- Improper connections may result in lights or fans not operating correctly
