⚠️ IMPORTANT INSTALLATION NOTES

These instructions apply specifically to the Air29 aluminum opening roof. Due to the 3‑panel‑wide roof configuration, special care must be taken during linkage assembly and panel installation.

Failure to follow these steps may result in misalignment, restricted motion, or light gaps between roof panels.

Joining Strip Installation

Each roof panel box includes a joining strip used between roof panels to prevent light leaking between joints.

• There will always be more joining strips than required
• The joining strip is the final component to be installed

Linkage Kits – Overview

Linkage kits must be fitted to the roof panels to create an opening roof system.

• Left‑hand (LH) and Right‑hand (RH) linkage assemblies are boxed together
• An intermediate linkage kit is used on Air27 and Air29 pods

Critical Linkage Orientation (AIR‑29)

When assembling linkage kits to the roof panels:

• The thickest part of the linkage bar must be positioned at the bottom
• The “V” shape halfway down the linkage bar must face upward

This orientation is critical on the AIR‑29 when the middle roof panels connect to the outer panels.

Incorrect orientation may not affect Air23, Air25, or Air27, but will affect Air29.

Linkage Kit Fixing

Secure the linkage kits to the roof panels using the supplied screws only.

• Each bag contains 12 screws (enough for one panel)
• Both linkage kits and roof blades are clearly marked Left (L) or Right (R)
• Always match L‑to‑L and R‑to‑R during assembly

Tolerance Adjustment (If Required)

If the roof assemblies are tight during installation:

• Remove the plastic strip running down the side of the screens
• This provides additional clearance and tolerance

This situation is more common on Air29 pods due to the 3‑panel width.

Roof Panel Installation Sequence

Installer feedback indicates the following method is easiest:

• Install one roof panel first
• Then install the middle and outer panels together
• Angle both panels in simultaneously due to tight fit

Critical Notes

• Always confirm linkage orientation before fixing
• Do not force roof panels into position
• Use tolerance strip removal only if required
• Final joining strips must be installed last
