Replacement Procedure
Step 1 – Access Second Unit (Back Side)
Locate the crank arm mechanism on the second unit (back side). Some Air3 configurations include a dual‑sided mechanism.
Step 2 – Remove Existing Crank Arm
Carefully remove the existing crank arm from the mechanism. Retain hardware unless replacement hardware is supplied.
Step 3 – Align Gear Teeth
When installing the replacement crank arm:
- Align the gap in the gear teeth before inserting the crank arm
- Ensure the crank arm seats fully into the mechanism
Improper alignment may prevent correct operation.
Step 4 – Install Replacement Crank Arm
Insert the new crank arm into the aligned gear assembly. Ensure it is fully seated and properly oriented.
Step 5 – Final Check
- Verify the crank arm moves smoothly
- Confirm proper engagement of gears
- Ensure all fasteners are secure
Critical Notes
- Do not force the crank arm into position
- Always align gear teeth before installation
- Improper installation may cause mechanism damage
- Replace damaged hardware as required
